Lou and I want to thank CJ Magro, former 11th Airborne Trooper and head honcho of his web site, "Paratroopers of the 50s" for his encouragement and technical support in assisting us in getting this site up and running. His expertise is only excelled by his patience in answering our questions. You made our efforts much easier. Our heartfelt thanks to a fellow former jumper and friend for life.

To the best of my knowledge they are all true or at the most perhaps intermingled and mixed up with one another. Jerry Ray who started this page after we re-united asked me to do them (says he doesn't type that well),in fact he is a lazy would be slick good old boy from North Carolina. Just kidding Jerry. Jerry has convinced me to put this stuff down in the hopes that people reading them will say, oh yeah I remember that. I was there, etc. We hope the word will spread and others from our unit will see this page and submit their stories or add to or correct some of mine. Some of these tales may be sad, amusing, outrageous,or what have you. But that is who we were and what we did.
By the way Jerry while pushing the stick out of a C-130, had his big old knife clenched in his teeth, growling as he approached the jumpmaster (Capt. Barnes). After the jump he mentioned this crazy trooper, but he knew that we were a spirited lot and did not pursue it.
